Blog Hop - Jan 2013

I made this card for a baby shower I am going to next week.  One of my dear friends is becoming a Grandma for the first time. The infant's  room theme is baby zoo animals like giraffes, polar bears, elephants, lions, zebras, etc.

The card and gift bag have a whole lotta pink so I am entering it in the PTI Blog Hop "Pretty In Pink" challenge.
Have you had a chance to check out all of the adorable pinkness going on there today?

Another "pink"  PTI Blog Hop entry

This is the last of the cards I worked on until 4AM ~ don't ask!!

I want to go around checking all the pretty pink entries posted now, the Hop looks amazing with all the beautiful and creative cards and projects.
Have a great day!

Entering this in MIM #149 also, I tried the Xyron method Heather Nichols showed us HERE on my Nestabilities panel under the stamped image ~ that worked a lot better than my first attempt.

MIM #149: Glittered Embellishments

The Make It Monday challenge this week at PTI is from Heather Nichols, who has a wonderful video showing us how to make glitter embellishments from die cuts. You can check it out HERE

I kinda messed up the butterfly by trying to add a second color glitter to it, to say nothing of the big mess I had of glitter everywhere ~ but will try again in another post.

JAN 2014 BLog Hop

It's time for another Blog Hop over at Papertrey Ink.

The instructions are from Nicole Heady's Blog HERE :

Your challenge this month is to create a card only using the color pink with the option to use neutrals (such as white, cream, gray, black or kraft).  With all of the different shades of pink to work with, there are all kinds of creative possibilities!  Keep in mind that your project can be for any occasion, as long as you use pink!

Another card for Make It Monday
Generational Stamping with Lined Images and Multiple Colors

It's kind of funny how the images look like some of my mistakes,
I keep thinking of all the cards I could have saved from the recycle bin had I know these blurred lines were a 'technique'  ;-)

MIM #148

Make It Monday this week is using a technique called "Generational Stamping with Line Images & Multiple Colors"

Watch Dawn McVey's video HERE.
I wanted to give it a try, so this is my card. I don't have a line flower stamp from PTI, but used a Martha Stewart Camelia and the solid leaves from Rosie Posie inking the edges with a darker green ink.

MIM #146

Make It Monday ~ Angled Backgrounds Challenge

I am using up some of my scraps on these cards, so that is a good thing...  I will just have to create about a hundred cards to make a dent in my pile :-)

Make It Monday ~ Angled Backgrounds

This week Ashley shows us how to create a fun angled background on our cards.  See her video HERE
I always save scraps of card stock (especially strips)  when I'm making cards, so this is a great way to use them up :-)
